Not planning your future can have its good points and bad points.
It can good because you never have to restrict yourself and by doing this you are constantly changing and finding more and more things about your self by the random and spontaneous choices you have to make instantly. Like deciding if you want to go out with your friends or stay at home (LAME EXAMPLE) . Life can be seen as more exciting because you don’t know what the future holds. Your possibilities are endless. The sky is the limit.
However sometimes being so uncertain can scare people , (it has made me a few times I’m not going to lie). Especially when you have to make rather important decisions like deciding what job you want or where you want to study after you leave school. That can be very unnerving for someone who has no idea what they want.
When you don’t have certain things planned unfortunately good opportunities can get lost because you aren’t quite sure of if the opportunity was right for you . Sometimes it can be too late to decide what you want , like when deadlines for applications are gone or an audition has passed for a really great play or musical you would of loved to be apart of. it can be extremely frustrating.
But I’ve learn that this isn’t the end of the world. Everyone gets more than one chance to prove themselves right and missing out on a certain opportunity makes you realise how much you wanted it in the first place. So you’ll be even more determined and motivated than you were last time round which is NEVER a bad thing. And if you weren’t that annoyed or affected by the loss of it, you obviously didn’t want it as much as you thought you did.
So falling into the future and not planning your life out can seem terrifying and exciting . But you should never be afraid of not knowing what you want to do. It’s not an advisable lifestyle if of course if you do know what you want to do, and that’s great! if anything I’m envious of you! But it’s a really interesting way to learn about your self. And you might just be a bit happier knowing who you really are and what you truly want.
Well I’ll see you later!
